This is why the United States has the largest per capita prison - TopicsExpress

This is why the United States has the largest per capita prison population: statutory punishment for victimless crimes. The fact that you can be sentenced to life for possessing marijuana is an indictment of the unjust court system that feeds an ever-growing, privately-run prison industry. What misanthropes make these statutes? What automatons enforce them? In Common Law there is no crime without injury. There is no crime without a victim whose person, rights or property have been violated. Justice can be effected between the perpetrator and the victim since being human beings, they are at parity. The state, which is a dead fiction, can suffer no harm and has no parity with a living being. It can have no converse and no commerce without the consent of all parties. Time for living human beings to wake up and throw off the shackles of the dead. The state is your servant, not your master.
