This is why we need to desperately get out and vote this year. And help get the vote out. Do it. It is so easy to vote straight ticket (that is how republicans keep on winning, FOLKS) this year you will feel much better if you vote straight ticket DEMOCRAT. That way you can walk away knowing you are doing your part to make this country and your life better and not worse. And it is so easy just one check box then skip to the municipal & local issues. General-election ballots in Michigan have three sections: The partisan section, which includes candidates for partisan offices; The non-partisan section, which includes candidates for judgeships, municipal offices, and school boards; and The proposals section, which includes state and local ballot issues. Straight-ticket voting only involves the partisan section of the ballot, meaning that if an individual wishes to vote in a non-partisan race, they must vote those offices individually.
