This is why you do research on what youre talking about. Also if you hear about some groups catching flak from Gamers over things (such as critics like Anita Sarkeesian) this is why. Mainly because they claim things about games, but those who actually play the games know better. And this is beyond easy to show things, like Look at how violent this game is!; theres been instances like the one talked about in this video and with someother supposed critics who try to make a point against a game, but they either didnt do the research, or they had to go out of their way to deliberately do whatever it is they disprove of...all while claiming the game encourages players to do this, even if they take a penalty for doing that action. If youre gonna argue against and fight against something, do it right. Do it with research, with facts, with things showing you did your homework. Especially if youre gonna levy some hefty charges against something.
