This is your personal invitation (scroll down) to be there to hear the results of the Parks and Protected Areas plan -- THIS THURSDAY (Aug. 1) at 9:30am in Halifax at the Museum of Natural History. Forest Watchers campaigned long and hard this spring to protect all the special lands on the Eastern Shore, and we are hoping hear a very good announcement. We need a big crowd of pro-conservation folks to come out to this event. Numbers count! So please try your best to show up, and to bring as many nature-loving friends and supporters as possible. Voices opposed to protected areas will certainly be ready to react against protecting more land – so we need to show that widespread public support exists for protecting these important natural areas. It is very important to have a really big showing and lots of positive reaction following the announcement (letters to the editor, call-in shows, etc). This will be the key moment. Please spread the word far and wide, and make plans to attend.
