While doing a 1977 Yamaha XS750 Triple resto/cafe build, we noticed the frame had a couple flaws that stood out like a sore thumb. After closer examination, we noticed that someone had cut the front section out of the bike, apparently to remove the engine at some point in its history. The welds were only half way around the tubes, and there were no slugs inside. And it was ridden that way for years! This guy was lucky...if any of those shitty welds had gone south, this bike wouldnt be here today. Please take your bike to a reputable shop to have welding/framework done...its deadly enough out there with the dipshits in their Dodge Neons, with fartcans and cell phones...(Notice the rebar on the down-tubes...as if they were concerned about structural rigidity..Hahahaa)
