This isnt a RACE problem, its not a BLACK or WHITE problem. Its a society problem, its an upbringing problem, its a parenting problem, its a gang problem. Michael Brown wasnt a random innocent African-American that was unjustly shot.Although thats what at some points the media portrayed. He was a criminal. He robbed a store, he attacked a police officer, and he was shot while doing so. I know so many people, I have so many friends, white, black, and hispanic who have grown up in terrible neighborhoods and who have come out better than those around them. They were poor, they had bad parents, they lived in gang lands, and yet they prevailed. Theyre in college, they have jobs, they are in the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. People are more or less rioting, theyve vandalized police cars, they have fired gun shots, they brought lighter fluid with them, etc. That is not how you solve problems. All THEY are doing is proving those who are racist and say its a race problem right. Dont prove them right, prove them wrong, be successful, and be peaceful.
