This isnt a complaint and I am not looking for a bunch of negative commentary from strongly opinionated friends. It is simply an observation after trying to get my son insured the past two days. Over that last two years my insurance premiums have raised almost 100%. When we attempted to get a family plan we were told our current insurance we have and are very happy with is not available to us any more because it is not a government qualified plan. Our only options for us to have a family plan require us to get a qualified plan which offers several things we do not want and have no need for. Taking this option will cause our premiums to increase again another 50% on top of the already increased 100% over the past two years. I asked the insurance agent if her job has gotten easier or harder with these improvements in health care. She excitedly told me her job is a a lot easier because it no longer matters if people take care of themselves they all get approved and she can issue a lot more policies. She did not seem concerned with the fact that my insurance is going to increase so much again and told me that as only for people like me.
