Those who qualify for subsidies will automatically be enrolled in Medicaid or Medicare. Others may as well. Heres the kicker, according to ACA bi-laws, anyone on Medicaid or Medicare their property becomes the federal governments upon death. There are ONLY 3 exemptions, 1 - the decease is survived by a spouse, 2 - The deceased is survived by a child under the age of 18 and resides in the home, 3 - the deceased is survived by a mentally ill or severely handicapped child of any age that resides in the home. In essence, if you do not have a surviving spouse living in the home your estate is GONE! If either 2 or 3 apply they will be made wards of the state and the property seized. It does not matter whether you have a will or not. The governments reasoning for putting this in to the ACA was to recoup losses spent on Medicaid and Medicare...
