This isnt an elaborate video, but just a tiny clip of the foals we were able to save at the September 2014 (two day) auction - six are still up for adoption. This is the only moment I actually breathe and think properly on auction day - - the moment when the trauma of all of those lost is balanced against that sense of relief and exhilaration that comes from knowing that some babies are arriving in a sunny place. At this moment, a figurative door opened for these foals - they made their way toward a renewed chance at a bright life. (We still had to make a trip back to the auction mart to pick up Sonita (bay mare in foal) and yearling filly Solitaire (since adopted), when this clip was taken - but we sure got a lot of munchkins on board for the first ride)?! We go into the new year in celebration of what we have been able to endure and accomplish with your love and support.
