Keeney Dear Potential Sponsor: The above named individual has applied for entry into the Teen Challenge of Arizona Springboard Home, a residential program for young women in crisis. I am sure you are aware that Teen Challenge is an international, non-profit, interdenominational, faith-based program ministering to people with life-controlling problems. Teen Challenge of Arizona is a nationally standardized program which is financially an entity of its own and governed by a local Board of Directors. It is not underwritten by any organization. Springboard is a ministry of Teen Challenge reaching out to adolescent girls. Although we offer Financial Aid when available, each family is asked to acquire sponsors to help cover the cost of the Springboard program. This shows their true interest and desire in seeking help during their time of crisis. This is also our way of underwriting the operational costs of the program we offer. Since it costs approximately $16,000.00 to care for a student at Springboard during their stay, we must depend upon the support of the student’s friends and family. It is imperative that each family assist in securing sponsors if they are receiving Financial Aid. I also am committed to helping secure necessary funds to cover the cost of scholarships given to qualifying families as we are not underwritten by any organization.
