This just how stupid some laws are or how stupid the people that wrote them think we are. I answered the phone this morning and the caller asked to speak to my wife (asked for her by name). I informed them that she could not come to the phone at that time. I was asked, Please ask her to call _ _ _ - _ _ _ _, this is a Doctors office calling. I then asked which Doctor. Their response was, According to HIPAA laws of patient privacy I am not allowed to give out that information. We said our Thank yous and hung up. I dialed the number that the lady had given me to find out which Dr. she needed to call!!! DUUUUUH!!!
