This just in - Agenda Item added to our upcoming Quarterly Public Meeting! New Industrial/Manufacturing Company coming to SouthFields Village. Just a quick post to let you all know that we have added an important guest presentation to our November 27th Meeting. The RG has been communicating with the Town and has also recently met with the Developer who has filed an application for a new Manufacturing Facility, to be located on some of the lands at Abbotside Way and Learmont Avenue. This proposal is from a Company named Monarch Plastics (no relation to our Builder Monarch Corp.). They are planning on building a new 300,000+ square foot facility at this location. The RG has asked many questions about this proposed development and has invited this Developer to present what they are planning to build at our next Meeting. We understand many concerns and have voiced our initial questions/opinions relating to many areas including environmental, safety and traffic impacts, and have asked for more detailed information in these areas. We also understand that you may have questions to ask and this may be the only opportunity to get them answered. Since no Public Information Meeting is required (under the Planning Act), you may not get another chance to find out more about this. Please try to make it out for our next meeting as it will be an information-packed session!
