This just in... Chris Daniels INC Weather: The WINTER STORM WATCH remains in place through Wednesday. An upgrade to a WARNING may be needed in the not so distant future. The sun will shine for the afternoon with highs into the low 20s. Partly cloudy tonight with the low near 10. We are still on track for a winter storm starting tomorrow afternoon. The snow will be light at first, but an inch or two could accumulate before evening. The heaviest snow will fall from late evening Tuesday through the early hours Wednesday. It still looks like 6-9 total. However, totals always seem to vary, so some spots could see a bit more or less. While most data has the storm crossing from western Kentucky on to a Cincinnati to Pittsburgh line, some models suggest there could be a more northerly movement. For now, I am predicting all snow. If the storm takes the further north track, sleet and freezing rain will have to be introduced, especially in the southern counties. This would cut down snow accumulations. The next issue will be how much blowing and drifting will occur. Winds will pick up later Wednesday, and continue into Thursday. I do expect this to be some problem, especially in the outlying areas. Temperatures will also be plunging Thursday into Friday. The next winter system that could hit the area this weekend, will now likely occur at the end of the weekend and not earlier. It is far to early to predict storm impacts, if any. Will you getting any storm supplies today? What?
