This just in; My girlfriend asked me to take her son for a few days after he cut up so badly at home including threatening her with voilence, yelling, cursing, etc! She weighs about 95lbs...He is a big ole corn fed, football playing 10th grader just like my son Kobe! Hes about 61 and scares her. (Unlike Kobe) I wish he wood!! And I dont mean would!! (; They are white.. She tells me that she thinks our parenting styles are different and that its largely CULTURAL that Kobe and his good buddy treat their parents so differently. This is one of Kobes dear friends & I never have a moments trouble out if him. Again these are her words... I asked her permission to share them... She knows her son wouldnt even think of trying ME! That way and he knows it... Which is why she asked me to take him... I wanna here from my white friends on this one... Is there a cultural difference is raising respectful kiddies? Ive PLENTY of friends of other cultures.. Who have their kids in check. But do you think there is a basis to what she is saying and why?
