This just in: We are back home, after an exciting and fun trip to Gen. Butler State Park. I, for the first time, exercised my 3 Nights Free at any St. Park privileges. This is a benefit KY offers to all 100% disabled Vets. I was afforded the use of a 3 bedroom cottage for three nights free of any charges. Mona and Bernard Payne, of Owensboro, old and dear friends and fellow telephone retirees wanted to spend some time with us somewhere for a few days. Gen. Butler offers spectacular views from a high hill and the cottages were clean, comfortable, and well furnished. We had maid service, as needed, daily, with cable TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting room, bath, and three spacious bedrooms. Anyone wishing an affordable get away would be well serviced to consider any of KYs State Resort Parks. Hotel rooms, cottages, and RV parks are offered at each one. Check em out folks, KY state parks are second to none. All are searchable on the internet.
