This just in from CMH Bobbie Burns: The summer is here! Yesterday, July 10th was another spectacular day in the mountains at the Bobbie Burns. It was a perfect weather day for 17 happy people to do the Via Ferrata. 26 hikers enjoyed spectacular hikes in Snowman Pass, Rabbit, Valley of the Lakes and Syncline Pass. The ridge tops are mid-summer dry with all the summer flowers in full bloom. Three colors of heather are blooming as well as spring beauties, white draba and anemones by the millions. Pikas and ground squirrels are out foraging and whistling in the sun while the marmots are still sleeping in. Clarks Nutcrackers keep us entertained while Hermit Thrushes and other birds fill the air with their song. Come and join us! - Duane
