This just in from the JSO. Good afternoon watch members, Please pass along the following information to your respective watches regarding citywide crime trends: First there have been several jet skis stolen in the Arlington and Northside areas. Although most thefts occurred on docks or areas near the water, several occurred inland and from trailers. If you or a family member own a jet ski, please ensure that you have it secured properly at all times. Also, several landscaping/lawn companies have had lawn equipment stolen from their work trucks/trailers while at job sites. If you own a lawn care company please use extra care securing your equipment. In some cases, trailer locks were cut while the workers were working away from their truck. If you employ a lawn care company, please take a moment to explain to them that this is a citywide issue and ask them to use due caution (remember: when businesses lose money, they usually have to recoup it in their customer pricing which could drive maintenance prices higher). A possible suspect vehicle involved in the equipment thefts is a silver Dodge Magnum. I have included a picture of what a Dodge Magnum looks like.
