This leg of our tour of the lower 48 States, in our Citabria, starts at Page Municipal Airport (KPGA), Page Arizona and ends at Albuquerque International Sunport Airport (KABQ), Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our route was not direct. This allowed us to avoid the highest terrain, but most of the area we crossed was 5000 to 7000 MSL. The man made features on the Sectional Chart were things like: “Ranch”, “Trading Post”, “School”, and they were sparse! We took over 200 photos on this leg! It was a challenge to take photos that conveyed the vastness of the area while showing the beauty and texture of the landscape. We were always making a choice between pointing the camera straight down, or straight out. The small settlement with the red and blue roofs is named “Teec Nos Pos. It is just a few miles southwest of the 4 corners (Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico). The large rock is Ship Rock which is west of Farmington, New Mexico.
