This letter is to inform you that The Salvation Army Rockaway Recovery Office has opened and is accepting impacted individuals for disaster case management. Our disaster case managers have received specialized trainings and up-to-date information about the services and benefits offered by the public and private organizations working on the front lines of the Hurricane recovery effort. Our disaster case managers are available to: · assist clients in recovery through our Repair/Rebuild Program · answer clients’ questions · keep clients updated on important FEMA news and guidelines · help clients develop a plan that outlines and addresses their needs, and where appropriate, the needs of their family · connect clients with appropriate referrals/resources in your community and across a wide range of public and private programs (these referrals may include: legal assistance, physical health/medical needs, mental health services, financial planning, employment services, support groups, immigration concerns and other special services) advocate on the behalf of clients with service and benefit providers If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please call at (347) 926-4167 between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
