This link shows how many that are known to have died from Chiari and Chiari related complications, that are known by the Chiari Community. If you click on the link, you will see that the list seems to get longer each year. Hopefully, this is a sign that Chiari Awareness is becoming more of a reality and it wont be long until Doctors and the Medical Community become as aware of Chiari and how destructive it is as we that suffer from it do. THAT IS MY PURPOSE FOR SHARING LINKS LIKE THIS. Can you imagine having something that is tearing your life apart on a daily basis, and even as long as it has been known about, emergency trips to most hospitals leave you with.....#1 Not knowing what Chiari is or even caring to know. #2 Not taking you seriously. #3 Getting out a prescription pad for medicines to get you out the door. #4 Not even the specialists, Neurosurgeons, agree on when it is necessary to recommend the only treatment, decompression surgery (craniotomy plus depending on individual case), to prevent further permanent damage. #5 Far too many are discharged and their symptoms dismissed only to go home and meet death. Death that could have been avoided. I WILL KEEP SHARING AS LONG AS I AM ABLE. NO ONE ELSE SHOULD DIE WHEN DEATH COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED! THESE ARE FACTS MY FRIENDS, NOT ILLUSIONS FROM SOMEONE THAT SUFFERS FROM THE SAME!
