This literally happened to me in elementary school. We were yarn needling and I accidentally dropped my needle on a desk. It was bouncing around and finally seemed to come to a stop. I put my hand on top of it to stop it from rolling off, but after I couldnt find it anywhere. I began walking toward the teacher to ask for a new needle when a boy pulled on my jeans to get my attention. I turned to him and asked him what do you want? He just gave me a confused look, so I continued walking. He pulled on my jeans again and I turned to say WHAT?! while putting my hands up in the air. It turns out there was a yarn needle sticking out of my hand and it was pulling on my jeans as I swung my arms. There was no blood and no pain even though it was the eye of the needle that had gone through my hand, not the pointy end. The needle didnt go all the way through, the head was causing the skin on the backside of my hand to raise about a half inch. While walking to the nurse I played with it a bit and could feel the metal moving around against my bones and tendons. The school nurse had to get the secretary to help her pull it out because it was lodged in so tightly.
