This little bird was bought in to me a little over a week ago (or was it 2 weeks? .... tired now so I need to check back the date) ................. found in the tray of the pickup truck carrying sacks of manure .............. yes .... I did call him Sh*tty ... but we changed his name to Maggotty (cause he was infested with bot fly maggots which were pulled out of him (about 9 came out of him if I counted correctly .... This is Maggotty now ...... after a feeding today ... he is outside most of the time and comes back when hes ready for food (he is pulled back into the hospital at nights) Btw ... he is NOT a thrush as was thought .... still uncertain but it is possible that Maggotty may be a Shiny Cowbird .... as he grows older we will know for sure but it now explains his diet.
