This little close up of a sleeping Hawk Owls eye, is just to illustrate an owl fact, and one of the features that separates them from the birds of prey. All true birds of prey have an outer eyelid, which during sleep, closes the same as ours, top eyelid coming down over the eye to meet the barely moving lower one. Owls are the other way around, the lower eyelid rises over the eye to meet the barely moving upper one.
