This little forest block has the only three wold growth Iron Bark Trees I have every seen, they are the only known relic of what the forest would look like in a pre-colonial society. This forest should continue to be protected for the endemic species that are struggling to survive in a degraded ecosystem, and for the community that enjoy the place. Look into this if you have time, its a little piece of dry bush left around Bendigo that I had the privilege to explore and learn about, not all forest battles are big lush wet forests with black-green alliances. Still they remain and should, in my opinion, be left to have a go.
