This little girl arrived at Camp Snooty today. She is a 13 week - TopicsExpress

This little girl arrived at Camp Snooty today. She is a 13 week old OEBD that has some mild neuro issues (head tremors and ataxia) and some behavior issues when over stimulated. Her previous owners handed her over today with lots of tears. A very loving and young couple who realized that they did not have the resources to provide her what she needed and wanted to do the best thing for her. It was extremely hard for them to come to this decision, but after visiting vets and specialists and learning what it would it take to set her up for success, they knew that they would not be able to provide that. They had the option to return her to the breeder, but along this trek they also learned many things about irresponsible breeders and knew that taking her back to him, even if it meant they would get a full refund, was not in her best interest. So many people read these types of stories and post comments attacking breeders and people who do purchase puppies instead of rescuing. We will not allow those attacks on our page. This was an educational experience for this couple....just like millions of other people, they were not aware. So, rather than attack....please always take the time to educate with respect and then praise those who make good choices. Yes, I am a rescuer.....but I am not a breeder basher. If you choose to purchase from a breeder all I ask is that you do your research. AKC paper work means nothing......any dog can be registered with the AKC (or CKC or any other kennel club) that can write a check. Visit the breeder so that you can see mom and dad and see where your puppy is being raised......dont meet at a neutral location. Puppies being sold on the side of the road and in parking lots.....these are not reputable breeders. Reputable breeders dont need to sell their pups flea market style. The list goes on and on and on.....so do your research. The same thing goes for adopting from a rescue.....do your research, there are plenty of easy to read red flags for bad rescues, just like there are for bad breeders. Now, everyone welcome Juicy Rose Amalia to the Snooty gang. Her process into our pack here at Camp Snooty will be slow so that we can properly evaluate until we know her and her needs. Juicy will be in foster care as a long term foster as this could take some time so please do not email about adoption, just follow our journey with her for now.....cheer her on and keep the happy thoughts coming!!!!
