This little guy is Peanut, he was found lying on the side of a busy road where a passerby thought hed been hit by a car. The man that found him called Sandy from Tunica Humane Society and Sandy was not close so she called me. On arrival Peanut was very near death, he had given up. I took him to Stateline Animal Clinic where they xrayed him and did some tests. Peanut is a bone with some skin draped over, hes that skinny. His heart is enormously enlarged and he suffers from congestive-heart failure. Peanut also has one of the worst cases of heartworms they had seen. So bad in fact that he cannot survive heartworm treatment . So I brought him back home to be spoiled and loved for as long as hes on this earth. He may have a day or 6 months to live but I will promise you one thing. Peanut will never want for anything while hes here.and when he shows signs of pain or being uncomfortable or having problems breathing I will take him and hold him in my arms as we help him cross over the bridge. Thank God he didnt have to die alone on the side of a road unremembered and un-noticed by a cold world.
