This made me cry... not sad tears, happy tears. The last - TopicsExpress

This made me cry... not sad tears, happy tears. The last paragraph really resonated with me. After being in 5 foster homes myself, I finally found my forever home at age 15. The Judds were the first family (including my birth family) who treated me like I was blood-related. They cared about me, encouraged me, got involved with me, loved me... But I really knew they were my "real family" when Mom yelled at me for the first time. I got into trouble, and Mom gave me a good smack down... but that was it. No threats that I should leave. No fear. I just got yelled at, like anybody would yell at their kid who got in trouble. But I was still family. For the first, I belonged. The Judds were in their 60s when they took me in when I was 15, so they are no longer living. And with tears blurring my vision I miss my mom and dad so very much right now.
