This man had a lot to say and I cant disagree with him, but it was a very Christianize speech. I see nothing wrong with this particularly; however, we should remember that this nation was founded on the ideas of escaping religious persecution. So if you want one religion to be permitted in government settings such as schools, you have to be open to all religions. The point to this mans speech is that morality and goodness can be cultivated through religion. If a person is assisted in being a better person through their religion does it really matter what religion it is? Lastly, I loved his focus in the beginning of his poem about the government. Your laws ignore our deepest needs I think this applies to much more then religion. This is reflective of our very core as a nation where most people cant make enough money to survive and almost every avenue of our lives is constructed to manipulate us into doing one thing or another to funnel money to those who continue to get richer.
