This may be a little long. Please bear with me. ;) These last 6 months have been very difficult for us financially. There have been some serious struggles, just to keep a roof over our heads at times. Now that I am getting the money owed to me, our lives will be so much better. Although Im very happy about this, I can honestly say that Im glad it happened. I have learned some valuable lessons. I know what it feels like to literally have no idea where you were going to sleep that night. I have lived without furniture to sit or eat on, no stove or oven, and I know what its like to be hungry, but go without eating so your children can. To cry into your pillow after they are asleep because you just dont know what tomorrow will bring. I have met many people in the same situation, or worse, than me in these last few months as well. And have been astounded at their kindness and generosity. People who knew I have kids, so brought them home free jackets from the food bank that they went to. This was a woman who I had only ever said hello, how are you to. She also brought my youngest a balloon hat. Ive had people share food with me. People who really couldnt afford it sending me money so I could buy food, and an air mattress so John and I didnt have to sleep on the concrete anymore. I have spoken to people who love in squalor, but still find reason to smile. There is so many horrible things out there. But there is so much GOOD. There is love. There is kindness. There is generosity. There is selflessness. There is HOPE. This experience has forever changed me for the better. I am humbled and grateful for everyone who helped. And I will now always remember to do the same. And I will always remember that these qualities; Love, kindness, generosity, selflessness and HOPE cant be taken away by the circumstances we find ourselves in. We can embrace them, and Live them, no matter what is going on externally. Thank you for listening to my ramble. I love you guys. xoxox
