This may be a touchy subject to some, but the N word is not directed towards a race like it use to be, it depends on what context you use it in if you consider it offensive or not. Do I use the word? Yes, Do I use the word at work? No, would I use the word to offend my own race? Cant happen.. I have white friends who are more black than some of my black friends they say the word and I dont have a problem with it. But you let a person of any color that I dont know or I feel may be a little racist say it!!! We gone have problems.. WHY IS THAT?? Im a tell you why.. When that word was used to degrade us back in the slavery days, you had 2 types of slaves. House and Field,The house slaves got treated a little better and believed they were better than the field slaves so they would call the field slaves niggas, so the field slaves would say aint this about a trip, this fool blacker than I am and he done called me a nigga so the field slave would walk away not feeling offended but mad as hell!! Thinking to his self you wait till I catch that uppity ass nigga picking cotton. Thats just my analogy of how we became to use the word amongst ourselves.. But now it has been embedded into the pop coulter and its being used more loosely now...
