This may come as a shock for some of you and some may have seen - TopicsExpress

This may come as a shock for some of you and some may have seen this coming for the last few weeks due to a lack of tolerance we now hold for this beautiful pub but myself and my mother and father have decided that our journey with yourselves and this business will shortly be coming to and end. It has been one hell of an experience, one which we will fail to ever forget. We have had our highs and lows and have battled with not just our incompetent landlords but also some rude abhorrent guests and locals. Thus, resulting in us making this decision. However, we are proud of what we have achieved here in such a small amount of time. We have somehow managed to turnover the most money this pub has seen in years gone by, in turn making a small profit which is unbelievable in just one year thanks to our lovely regular and irregular guests and the hard work of our small team of staff. This pub is absolutely beautiful and we could only have wished to be able enjoy it more. We came in on May 7th 2013 with an aim to re-introduce it back in to the community for families to enjoy and for people of all ages to feel comfortable in its lovely surroundings. We hope that we may have succeeded in doing this. *if you have an event coming up in the near future here at the Inn on the Green please dont panic, we will be in touch and the diary will be kept live for all future bookings made by ourselves which will be passed on and confirmed with the future team* We would like to send our greatest appreciation to those that have supported us throughout our time here, nothing short of your praise and smiles have been the key to our happiness. Special thanks to Caz for her great work and friendship. George who has been working with us in the kitchen since day one. Grahamand pippa especially, Dylan, Jaime, Sean Coleman and family, Gary Coleman and family, Phil and Jodie, Mike Lavelle, Alan and Rose, Mr Mark oh yes Churchill Martin, Graeme, Cilla and the rest of the sustainability group. Bruce, Malcolm, phil and aime, John and Elaine, Keith and Debbie Martín, HH Lions, HH Rotarians, Carl and Olivia, Lesley, Dave, Ian, Dion, Jack and Freya, Jack and Jenny. Nick and Donna, Ash, Suzie and Amy. The Hovellers, East Grinstead Majestic wine team. Our lovely neighbours Jim, Sue, Tom, Jess, Keeley, Dave and Gem, Manni, Jay and Keith over the road. The Kumars at no. 34, Dora and Dave, poker club, the HH group, Ang, Sam and the lovely Dolly mixtures and of course all of our other guests and friends that have made the last year what its been. Weve had a great few weeks, good fun events, happy guests, one excellence award and an unbelieavble nomination for the great British pub campaign, with the great year we have had here, we will be very sorry to leave it all behind. We wish you all the best for the future and please, please remember to support your local! Its a tradition of our country that we need to keep going! We will be hanging around a little longer so we hope to see you all then. Thank you. Luis, Lesley and Rod.
