This may give you a brief, not concise, view of Puerto Rico. In all fairness to you, its necessary to live it to understand it. For those of us who did, the taste of the triumph of a people over all odds is un-imaginable. This is one reason I am able to empathize with the downtrodden and unfortunate. There is a great lesson in it, one not understood but by those whose lives are involved in the struggle. I am able understand the struggle of the Israeli and the Palestinian; what I do NOT comprehend, therefore unable to accept, is why they are NOT able to get along. There is the Israeli story & there is the Palestinian story. Where they contradict, neither can be right. One thing I observe: Vengeance, revenge, Hammurabis Law, whatever it may be labeled - IT MUST BE PUT TO REST! Let bygones be, the dead will not be revived. Property destroyed may be rebuilt and much more, none as important as rebuilding the human connection from scratch! I am over simplifying, ABSOLUTELY! As the longest most arduous journey starts with the first step, so must the building of human relations between these two nations. For starters: appreciation, respect, self restraint - keeping in mind that anger and wrath are Gods.
