This may not be a popular view, but I believe we are at the crossroads, and this election is a referendum on which road we take. Do we want to create a special low tax zone in Northern Australia, increase subsidies and reduce environmental protections to allow the fossil fuel industry to expand, ignoring the consequences to our planet? Or are we brave enough to shift our economy to renewable energies, of which we as a continent have in abundance? Abbott and his mining buddies, or Labor and a better world for our children?
