This may seem corny but when I say that this dream Im living totally has me in a different place in life, I would be lying. This past five years has been a testimony of my character. For starters, what led me to UNCG was when the VA lack of safety caused me to lose a career that I devoted a decade, made me fight for two years to get Workers Comp then decided when and where I should go back to work. My benefits were disallowed and I have been fighting since but I didnt stop my education but embraced the opportunities which led me to UNCG Athletics, North Carolina Coaches Association and The Atlantic Coast Conference. I didnt graduate from Durham High but Alamance Community College with a GED, have had mishaps with the law, ran the streets and put the horse before the carriage. With all these chips stacked, I never looked as like my potential was limited but gave a different perspective on how I wanted the second half to be and show my kids to do things while you are young. Believe me, when I say Im living the dream, that would be an understatement because I have a two in college, one creating his legacy in athletics and a supporting wife that stood by me from day one. To end this, I am a living testimony that hard work doesnt kill but makes you a thousand times stronger.
