This may seem off topic, but I assure you that it isnt. Watch the following film, if you have time, because it details so beautifully how, in part, corporate hostility towards the middle-class is killing the economy and peoples chances of realizing the American dream. It is exactly why I have chosen to stand up to Adobe and AAU. Yes, this theft was wrong, but far more importantly I hope by raising this issue we also highlight how maneuvers like this chip-away at a persons opportunities for a comfortable and happy existence. If enough companies, and educational institutions, behave similarly, and continue their ascent towards absurd levels of wealth, at the expense of the average American, we will all suffer in the end. This issue that we have is a perfect example of how the wealth gap spreads. It happens when enough aggressive corporate actions (such as forcing people to pay a ransom to keep their jobs, or stay in school) occur to the point where the cards are stacked against someone permanently. Seem dramatic? It is. I hope you enjoy the film. Robert Reich is incredible level-headed person, and he has an eye for perspective that I aspire to, but will likely never achieve. XO - Sarah
