This may surprise you, but after listening to this a second and third time. I actually disagree with many parts of this video. I think the beginning is awesome; we want kids to know that we think about them beyond their school agenda and test scores. But, a lot of the ownness of student behavior is on us. Their teachers and leaders who have a responsibility to honor them in the way we want them to honor us. Not all, but plenty of the negative behaviors we see in our classrooms stem from students feeling like they dont matter to us. Dont get me wrong. The video is really well done.
