This message about sucicide was me in November 2011 -2012. I lived this daily. It was the hardest year of my life. But because of the remarkable kindness of Chef Michael, my friend Melinda Sanborn concern, worry, & love for me and the spirit, wisdom & love of my dear friend Candice Mueller I began to overcome my deep sadness caused by a sense of hopelessness, loss, & epic failure. My final chapter in healing the hurt, was knowing my best friend Marcus and his fight in life to never give up. I hope I never experience this dark place again in my life. It was the hardest thing to overcome, accept my life, and to truly feel happiness again. Feeling loved and valued is powerful. So, I absolutely love this message. I love it because I had this, and it helped me. You may never know the power of your words & love.and how it can change a life. The most common sources of pain for someone having suicidal thoughts are feeling disconnected from other people, feeling like they’re a burden to others or that people would be better off without them. Coupled with the hopeless thoughts that things aren’t going to change. While it may seem too simple, sometimes words of comfort, support, and love can be life-changing for someone who doesn’t feel needed. Sometimes those suffering with depression and suicidal thoughts don’t even need words. They just need someone to sit with them. They need someone to be there for them. They need to feel loved and valued. Seth A Smith “There is nothing more powerful than the arm of love that can be put around those who are struggling.” M.
