This message from Dr. Katherine Albrecht contains a lot of useful information about online privacy and security. I made some changes to my browser settings and started using ghostery after reading her recommendations. Dear Friends, I have two exciting bits of news to share! Liz and I are baaaack!!! My Spychips co-author Liz McIntyre and I launched a new privacy column today at eHow. Were sharing our expertise in online privacy and security with the websites millions of visitors. This is a big deal. According to comScore, eHow is the 28th largest website in the United States with 30 million unique US visitors each month. (Alexa ranks it 117 in the US.) Check out our first post titled Six Way Websites Track You -- and How You can Fight Back! here: ehow/ehow-tech/blog/ways-websites-track-you-and-how-you-can-fight-back/?utm_source=lizmcintyre&utm_medium=contributor&utm_campaign=blognetwork Please share the column with your friends and networks, and let eHow know what you think by writing a comment at the end of the article. If we generate enough interest, our column could turn into a long-term platform for getting actionable privacy news to the general public who desperately need this kind of information. Second, as many of you know, I am helping launch the new private email service StartMail. Because of my work on email privacy, I had an opportunity to speak with J.D. Hayworth on Newmax TV about the missing IRS emails this past week. And on a personal note for those of you who know I had breast cancer, thats my REAL HAIR all grown back again. :) You can watch the video here: newsmax/Newsmax-Tv/Katherine-Albrecht-consumer-privacy-Americas-Forum-Newsmax-TV/2014/06/25/id/579208/ To get more privacy, remember to use StartPage for your searches (StartPage), and please reserve your StartMail PGP encrypted email here: StartMail.
