This message is not for everyone and I anticipate some push back but God wont release me from this word of wisdom until I sow it for someone that needs to hear this. Ladies, black men are not attending church in the numbers that we need them to and a great deal of that has to do with how the black preacher has presented himself in general not only to the world but in the church as well. Without going into detail we have to do some self examination as preachers and assess what it is we are doing that is turning our young and old brothers away from organized church assembly. They are not all heathens that dont desire a relationship with God, we have done a poor job in meeting their needs. With that being said, women of God, if you have a man that you love and he loves you yet youre both attending different churches; this is a set up for failure. When the man is the priest of his home and you support him in that role, your relationship will flourish. I hear too many women of God saying Im not leaving my Pastor to go to XYZ church for no one, he needs to come to my church! Your commitment is not to the Pastor or even church per se, but your allegiance should be to Christ. If he is being fed, go with him and show him your faith and confidence in him to be the priest of his home. Wouldnt you be concerned if you and your significant other ate dinner at different locations every day? So then it is Spiritually, you shouldnt consistently be eating from different Spiritual tables. Sup together in the Word. There are rare occasions where this works (separate church affiliations in the same household) but that is the exception, not the rule. The family that prays, praises, studies, worships and feasts together stays together. Being equally yoked goes far beyond just a common belief in Christ. I lost someone I loved because of this same dynamic. I pray that this word touches who it is intended for in the matchless name of Jesus; that a marriage is preserved, solidified and restored from this seed!
