This message is really two part: As a networker, its imperative to continually look at expanding your circle. After all, network marketing should be about relationships. The way I look at it is that were in the friendshipping business. Thats why Im always connecting with people outside my company circle. I always find it curious when people stop associating with others just because they are no longer in their current company or are deemed no longer recruitable. People are the bloodline of what we do; past, present, and future. We should always look to expand our circle and once we do, do right by one another. Too many people dont value the relationship or burn bridges over some near-sighted nonsense thus sacrificing any future potential of a partnership. We may forget about a lot of things, but one thing we remember is how we are treated when there is nothing to be gained monetarily from us. Too many people are parasitic and opportunistic, which is antonymous of authentic and real. But, in the end, time reveals true character. And success without integrity & selfless character is only temporary. With so many wildcards in this industry, the one thing we can control is how we treat people. Companies come and go, but relationships dont have to. If you love this industry for the right reasons and want to make a sustainable career out of it, understanding that part is really the only job security you need because people dont join companies, they join people.
