This message might be the most surreal, amusing and kind-of-amazing thing that happened to me today. I pre-emptively apologize to anyone who will ever be mistaken for me in the future. I am sorry. I just hope they do not throw water on your face or kick you in the genitals. That being said, this dudes response was...classic: I wanted to inform you of something that happened an hour ago. I was sitting in a lobby having a meeting with a few people when a lady nervously interrupted, saying to me, Im a big fan. I thought this was going to be me the 8th time (not exaggerating) that someone was going to say I look like Prince (but that only happens when I have a goatee and a suit on, and only with African-Americans). Instead, she says, Youre Wajahat, from Al Jazeera, right? I, of course, did the only thing any sane, civilized human being would do. From The Stream? Yes. Yes, I am. She went on to ask if she could add me (you) on Facebook, and then asked if there were internship opportunities at Al Jazeera, which I confirmed there were.
