This might be long but I hope yall read this all.. I remember a few years ago when I used to perform at little retirement homes with my vocal group around the holiday season. I clearly recall the genuine smiles on the faces of the elderly ladies and gentlemen when Id pull out my guitar and sing. After the shows, my vocal coach would tell us to go take a picture with every single one of them and make sure they all felt special before we left. They would laugh, enjoy, close there eyes and sway to the songs. I remember the Unbreakable bond I had with all of the artists performing. No drama, no arguing, just a common love for music. Music is about the ears. Its about touching lives. Music isnt about the crowd size or the numbers... Its about making someone happy. Its about making people feel an emotion while listening. Its an art. Thats the music that I fell in love with. Sometimes people get it twisted. They think its about other things and to some extent, their mindset completely changed the dynamic of music. I challenge you to do this... Next time you put your ear buds in to listen to a song, ask yourself how it makes you feel. Ask yourself if it has any meaning to it. If it doesnt, its not real music. And also, make sure you never take a second for granted. Time flies and sometimes the things you dont appreciate in the moment you end up appreciating later down the road..
