This might get a bit lengthy, but kindly bear with me and excuse me for any inconvenience while reading it. Even if it had surpassed the entire number of words I have written till date on Facebook, it would still not express whats currently going on inside of me, but fortunately for you, Im going to keep it much shorter. Let me share with you one of the happiest days of my life. It was yesterday, when I saw a great man with very humble beginnings, climb to the topmost post to serve our nation. The man is Mr. Narendra Modi and it is definitely not a surprise for you that Im his ardent supporter. Over a period of two years, many of you have seen and commented on my posts associated with Mr. Modi, so Im actually left with nothing for the moment to say much about him. While Im writing this, a thousand thoughts come to my mind and Im feeling what is it that I should write to make this post look better, but after giving a lot of thought, Im just feeling that I should continue to pen what appears to my mind. Its a feeling of numbness and I have never felt such a dearth of words to describe what Im feeling since yesterday. My ecstasy went to a point where all I could do to express my happiness was to go quiet and clueless, and let that feeling sink in, that this has actually happened. This moment somehow appears to me as a personal achievement, whereas in reality, its the victory of the nation. Many of you would think that is he going too far with his emotions as Mr. Modi is just a politician and we mustnt get carried away with the rise or fall of them. But the fact of the matter is that while most of us look back in history to search for the personality that left an influence on us, people like me are fortunate enough to say that we look up to a personality from our times, who has greatly influenced the way we think. Not just we are proud of this feeling, but we carry it on our sleeve. Many may call it a hysteria, but thats the way it is and Im glad it is like this. It just reminds me of the two-year journey, through which I saw so much of acrimony in his political rivals, journalists, columnists, thinkers, economists and many in the general public, who had written him off right from the beginning and never left a chance to strip him of his status, which however converted into failed attempts. But, I would just like to forget most of it for the moment and not like to mention it here. My euphoria is much bigger than the bitterness and it certainly is a time to cherish only that. I would like to go two years back in history, when I knew nothing much about Mr. Modi and I guess I didnt even know his first name. More so, I wasnt even aware that hes in Gujarat for two consecutive terms and running for the third. For me, Gujarat was just another neighboring state. You may think that I was possibly a deaf and blind when it came to current affairs, and to an extent, yes that was the reality. But one day, a post shared in the early 2012 by a dear friend of mine on the Sabarmati Riverfront changed it all. The post got me so interested, that I wanted to know how this was made possible because in the year 2000, I happened to stay in Ahmedabad for a day and I myself saw that Sabarmati and its surroundings in those days was nothing more than a thin strip of water with lot of waste cluttered around it. I couldnt imagine that a conviction for such a drastic makeover exists in any government on the Indian soil. When I looked deep into it to find out who was responsible for it, I came to know about Mr. Modi which unfolded an unending saga of achievements I never thought existed and sounded impossible for a Chief Minister whos limited to the resources of a state and that state, which was marred by drought, earthquakes and social unrest when he had taken over. I instantly became Mr. Modis follower and the intensity of my admiration for him grew richer everyday and its still growing. Therefore, I would like to thank my dear friend Ritesh Dugar, who was responsible for that post and he doesnt even know about this little story till now. I could never thank him for it but I guess that the time is now ripe for me to extend my gratitude to him, who became the reason for me to explore this living legend that has left a defining impact on my life. Thank you so much Ritesh! We might not realize now, but we have actually entered into the Golden Era of India post-independence, the traces of which were seen during the tenure of Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The only difference was that in those days, Mr. Vajpayee was heading a real coalition government with no political party in full majority, whereas, Mr. Modi will also head a coalition government but only to maintain the sanctity of NDA, since BJP has gained majority on its own. This means he wont come across the bottlenecks in taking brave decisions for the development and security of our nation. This is a dream-like situation for any nationalist government, which wants complete freedom and authority to develop the country on the lines of their belief and ideology. I pray that Mr. Modi utilizes this opportunity to its best potential which can take him beyond this term as the Prime Minister of India for multiple consecutive terms to come. Im certain that hell pave the way for a Golden India in whose roots, the fervor of nationalism and patriotism, and the will to put country before anything will prevail till infinity. The people of India have proved their maturity by giving a clear mandate after a span of three decades and theyve shown how well informed, concerned and committed they are for the growth and stability of this nation. The people of this country are to be congratulated for this glory and theyve certainly made a best investment with their vote. The guardian that theyve appointed will shield the interests and prosperity of this nation in the best possible way that is. Thank you India! Lastly, I would like to thank and congratulate the following friends and members of my family in no particular order, who have shown their support to my posts associated with Mr. Modi. Just in case I miss out on any name, kindly excuse me for my mistake. Thanks again and many congratulations to the following: Kapil Raisinghani Suman K.
