This might sound weird, but I kind of want to go on another road trip with my mom. Being an only child she had this weird role of parent, sibling, and friend, so we have a unique relationship. She wasnt whack and lazy growing up. She basically tossed me in a backpack and hopped on a bus, or a train or plane and took me anywhere we might have relatives. We never really let up. Even as I grew up, moved out and got married. Hannah and I went to Iowa with her 2 years ago for my cousin Ben s graduation and almost died in a phantom tornado, and were attacked by highway deer assassins. It was fun showing her Prince and The Mars Volta while driving across Montana while the sun was rising. Or making her watch Hostel in a hostel in Wyoming. I dunno. Forgive the sappy thought. I guess I just think my mom is pretty rad.
