This might upset some horse lovers but I feel that everyone needs to see this. Although it can not be proven that hendra vaccinations could have played a part in my horses death it certainly deonstrates that more tests should be done o the drug to ascertain side effects. If I could do it again I would not have had my boy vaccinated. These are our beautiful healthy 20 year old horses that we have had since they were 6 months old. They went from never having a to call a vet or being sick to not being able to get up in a matter of 2 weeks after there second Hendra. This was so very sad to watch they eventually did get up a little stiff but fine. This all began 2 weeks after Hendra injections, calling in the DPI to test the horses for something sinister only to come back with no answers, scratching their heads and saying we dont know whats wrong with them, they are normal healthy horses. The bay gelding, my boy, sadly did not get any better and we had to euthanize 2 weeks ago. The medicine hat mare getting up and down on her own and doing ok for now. If you have seen anything like this please help us in our quest to find an answer.
