This month marks my one year anniversary at my current job, and I realized the other day that only one other person in the kitchen has a tenure longer than mine, and with the recent departure of David Baldwin no one else is even close. I stopped keeping track of all the people who have quit or been fired after the total reached double digits; even for the restaurant industry the turnover has been substantial. If I manage to make it to the next Christmas party, itll be an almost entirely new set of faces exchanging awkward Secret Santa gifts. Ive got my fingers crossed for a Starbucks card.
