This month marks the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Westport, the largest engagement West of the Mississippi River, and last full-scale action of the Civil War in Missouri and west of the Mississippi. The John Wornall House was a 600+ acre farm during the war which was converted to a field hospital and used by both the Union and Confederate armies. The JWH Museum is celebrating this event with several educational and entertaining presentations this month. I feel privileged to have been asked to participate during this historic event at the museum.
