This months “Taste & Learn” will take place on March 29, 4-6 p.m. Guests will learn about wines originating from Tuscany, including the characteristics of the grapes as well as how the climate, terrain and winemaking process affect the resulting vintage. In addition, guests will discover interesting facts about the winemaker and how to identify the qualities each wine possesses that enable it to pair with the featured cuisine. Each wine will be accompanied by a small-bite pairing prepared by Chef Mimmo. Gino Ferraro and a representative from the winemaker will discuss the origin, contents and wine-making process of each vintage, while Chef Mimmo will provide details about each of the food pairings he prepared to complement them. Selected wines to be showcased that day include Bandi Chardonnay; Capezzana Carmignano; Conti Costanti Rosso and Altesino Brunello. Space for this intimate event is limited and tickets (tax and tip included) are $50 per person. To make reservations, call (702) 364-5300.
