This morning, District 30 Senate candidiate Don Quinn publicly distanced himself for Michael Peroutka. Like myself, he doesnt just go along with the program. For the record, Peroutka defeated me in the Central Committee race. Frankly, he can do little damage there. That said, I denounce his candidacy for the District 5 seat on the County Council. I have spent the last five months bringing new faces into the Republican Party. Therefore, I will not sit back passively while folks such as Peroutka, with their draconian ideology, destroy the efforts to build the party. I will continue to work to have a two party system in my state. If that includes calling out those that are counter-productive to our cause, so be it. Undoubtedly, some will chastise me and try to use these comments against me at a later time. I have thought about this for days and believe I can no longer keep silent on this. For those that will inevitably attack me over this decision, I will spend the next four years building the party. I simply ask what are their plans to accomplish the same goal?
