This morning I am comparing the difference in how Wagon Wheel sounds between Old Crow Medicine Show and Darius Ruckers version. Old Crow ... https://youtube/watch?v=1gX1EP6mG-E Darius Rucker... https://youtube/watch?v=hvKyBcCDOB4 Darius Rucker Vocals are way more full (including backup vocals), youve got that driving country backbeat going on the drums, the guitar is way more present, and that bass is so much more present in the mix. Also claps on 2 and 4 later in the song. Its also got that classic device they use in modern country where they drop out the driving drums and go to a minimal playing style, then build it up. Similar to what happens in electronic music. FYI, Darius Rucker is my favorite country artist.
